Visitation Hours & Guidelines

Patient visitation is held several times per week. We encourage family involvement and communication throughout the treatment process. The visiting hours are Sunday through Saturday evenings; Adult 7pm to 8pm, Child/Adolescent visiting hours are 6pm to 7pm. On Saturday and Sunday days; additional visiting hours during the day are offered. Adult visitation is 2pm to 3pm and Child/Adolescent visitation is 1pm to 2pm.  Please, note the following regarding visitation:

  • All visitors must check in at the main lobby with the receptionist, obtain a visitor badge, and sign the “Visitor Confidentiality Form.” Visitation occures in the cafetreia.

  • Visitors will be asked to sign out on the register upon leaving. Visitors will be required to leave personal belongings in their car. There will also be a locker to place all valuables/belongs in while visiting.  Cell phones are also not permitted as having the camera and recording device violates our policy on confidentiality.

  • All visitors must respect the program rules and all patients’ privacy or they will be asked to leave.

  • All belongings and packages brought to patients must be screened by staff. Any items that do not conform to hospital rules or are contraindicated or considered to be contraband will not be allowed on the unit.

  • Anyone appearing under the influence of any substance or does not act appropriately will be asked to leave.

  • Due to limited space, only two (2) visitors are permitted to visit each visitation session.

  • Visitors must be at least 18  years of age and children cannot be left unaccompanied in the lobby.

  • Patients who have visitors who are unable to visit during regular visiting hours must obtain permission from the treatment team prior to visitation if visiting during off hours. Visitation outside of visiting hours must be scheduled in advance. Clergy and attorneys representing patients are welcome at any time.

We also ask any visitors with recent flu or respiratory symptoms to also delay a visit until feeling better. Visitors who are coughing may be asked to wear a mask. We appreciate your support in our efforts to limit our patients from further health issues.

We hope that you enjoy your visit at Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. Thank you for being a part of your friend or loved-one’s treatment. If you have any questions regarding these guidelines, please ask a member of our staff.
